Poonam Singh

Poonam has been working with the Agricultural Research Services of the Indian Council of Agricultural research in Lucknow, India for the past 17 years. During her tenure, she has undertaken consultations for IP Portfolio management and has provided consultancy on prior art study research and patent portfolio management. She also provides advisory services for matters related to IPR, traditional knowledge, biodiversity and genetic resources.

Education & Achievements:

Poonam completed her LLM in Intellectual Property from the Michigan State University College of Law along with an internship in IP and technology transfer, IP, Lisencing, Start up Ventures and Business Incubation.

  • Poonam was invited for a presentation for Researchers in Worship on Challenges and Opportunities in Intellectual Property Management and Commercialization of Technologies in Agriculture and Fisheries Sectors, “Patent Claims: Drafting and Interpretation for IP Management ” on the 20th of March, 2014.

She has also undertaken extensive work on Genomics and genotoxicity studies specially, Developing microsatellites by FIASCO based strategy for fishes.
