Dr. Ajay Kolhatkar is a Senior Practice Consultant at Tata Management Training Centre (TMTC), the corporate learning centre of the Tata Group. His responsibilities include conceptualizing, designing and executing initiatives for capability building in the areas of technology-enabled services and e-business strategy. Ajay helps organizations develop organizational structures, management systems and technology enablers that facilitate sharper customer engagement. Service Excellence, Service Innovation, Self-service technologies, Technology Management and Digital Consumer experiences are his areas of interest and expertise.
Ajay has over 20 years of industry experience in project management, new product development, corporate training, and business consulting and research evangelization.
Prior to joining TMTC, Ajay headed a business research group at the Infosys Labs in the “Centre of Innovation for Tomorrow’s Enterprise.” Ajay also led a research in accessible technologies and helped develop a web accessibility assessment solution. He co-authored several patents dealing with web accessibility, benchmarking of Web 2.0 adoption, and social network analysis.
Before Infosys, Ajay had a long and successful career as a trainer and consultant, specializing in customer service, sales management, MIS and soft skills. He also managed a research initiative which dealt with internet usage and business usage of www.
Education and Achievements:
Ajay was awarded a PhD from IIT Bombay for his thesis in Consumer’s Acceptance of Technology Based Services. Ajay also has an MBA in Marketing from Symbiosis Institute, Pune and is an Electrical Engineering graduate from Government College of Engineering (COEP), Pune.
